Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising partnership that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana in addition to several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
